Children’s Movies for Summer 2010
Many great movies are coming out this summer perfect for even the youngest addition to your family!
While the movie theater might not be the best place for the youngest babies, it is certainly a wonderful destination for toddlers and older kids, especially with summer blockbusters heating up. Shrek Forever After is currently in theaters, and the fourth installment in this fun series is great for children and parents alike. Marmaduke, which focuses on a friendly Great Dane, is also out now. The Karate Kid, a remake of the original, stars Will Smith's son, Jaden, and is sure to create a whole new generation of fans. Toy Story 3, also comes out in June. Ramona and Beezus, a movie version of the popular children's book series by Beverly Cleary, will be out in July along with Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore. The Last Airbender will be released in July as well, and it's a fun children's fantasy movie directed by M. Night Shyamalan. Despicable Me, an animated film also out in July, might be one of the best options for the whole family this summer. Featuring beautiful graphics and a story sure to grab kids' attention, it also stars adult favorites like Steve Carell, Jason Segel, and Julie Andrews.
