More companies are focusing on organic baby denim

Organic baby denim, and other eco friendly baby clothing, is becoming more popular as many companies now offer organic options.

Traditionally, denim production uses a large amount pesticides and insecticides in the process of growing the cotton for the material. Organic denim, then, is grown without the aid of any of these chemicals. So, if you’re environmentally conscious and looking for items for natural baby items that don’t have a negative impact on the environment, there are now multiple options for comfortable, organic denim clothing for babies and children.

Baby Star, a baby clothing company focused on bringing functionality and style together, debuted their organic denim line in November of 2009. Dana Bach Johnson, the founder of Baby Star, said, “We have dreamed of offering a modern and stylish organic denim collection and we are so excited to share Baby Star’s amazing and unique collection with the world.” Each piece in the line is made of soft, pre-washed certified organic denim. The line carries a denim skirt with a ruffle down the center, Jane Jeans for girls, and Jack Jeans for boys. Each piece has star accents on the pockets (two for girls and one for boys) to add some unique flair to every outfit. Baby Star also offers other organic items for babies, including organic soy onesies, pants, and skirts.

Other companies also offer eco friendly baby clothing options. Pure Little produces organic t-shirts, jeans, hats, mittens, onesies, and even stuffed animals as well as many other natural items for babies. Bamboo also makes many organic options for mom and baby. Their items feature slogans such as “The World Awaits” and “Dream, Believe, Giggle,” giving their clothes unique personality. These examples make up only a few of the many organic options available in the baby clothing market. Because of the wide selection available, style and comfort do not have to be left for a baby to wear organic clothing daily.
